As I posted over on Sexy Phone Mistress, I find having a set of locks keyed alike to be indispensable.
JT's Stockroom carries a nice brass lock that fits the bill perfectly.
I have several sets of leather collars and cuffs, but my favorite are plain black leather straps with A D-ring on one end and slots on the other to make them adjustable. I like real collars and cuffs that lock, buckles have always struck me as a tad lame. I mean, if I tie you up, the purpose is for me to be in control, which isn't the case if you can just reach up and unbuckle your collar.
I like having a set of small locks all keyed-alike so there's only one key to keep track of. I have a set of six and I keep them in a small plastic container. The locks are always stored closed, so I have to open them to use them. This prevents the situation where you find you're missing the key after someone's locked in, which would require me to decide between ruining the leather or ruining the sub. ;) I keep two keys for my locks in the same container with the locks, one on my regular keyring, one on my spare keyring that hangs in the kitchen, and one in my desk. No point in ever needing to search for them! I have a large set of locks as I like the sub to feel the weight of them when they're on. I think feeling the weight of the lock hanging from the collar makes the whole collaring process more poignant. But they're also available in a smaller set. Locks are not a terribly sexy toy, but a necessity if you like locking collars and cuffs as I do. This set is a tad prettier than the ones I have, which are silver. Brass would look much more striking against black leather. You can pick up a set a pinwheel from JT's here. I recommend 6, you need 5 for a collar and cuffs and one as a spare. Add your comment |
