The Encyclopedia of Unusual Sex Practices is a catalog of uncommon and taboo practices by Brenda Love.

I guarantee you that there are fetishes in here that you've never heard of (unless you've read it previously).

It covers quite a spectrum of topics, though surprisingly, neither furries nor giantism are mentioned. The book was written in 1992, so it predated a lot of development of sexual communities online.

On the one hand, each description is relatively non-judgmental, simply categorized and described. But on the other hand, there's an emphasis on paraphilias, as if Ms. Love wanted to include everything that could possibly be categorized as a mental illness as well as simply a sexual practice.

However, the book is not written from a clinical viewpoint, quotes from many practitioners of the various fetishes are included. In fact, the book's credits list an advisory panel that includes rather a wide range of perverts of various stripes.

While informative, the entries are is not written in technical language, but clearly in plain English.

From abduction to zoophilia, there's over 750 discrete articles and 150 original illustrations, making this book a great bathroom reader.
